Christine Donohue Bulbul

On October 2, 2025, Christine Donohue Bulbul, age 66, of Scaggsville, Maryland, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family. Born in 1958 in Hyattsville, Maryland, Christine was the daughter of Robert Joseph Donohue and Josephine Gloria Donohue.

She graduated from the University of Idaho with a bachelor’s degree in computer science in 1987 and earned a master’s degree in information systems from the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, California in 1992 where she also met her husband.

Christine served honorably in the United States Navy, retiring as a Lieutenant Commander in 2000 after 22 years of dedicated service. Following her military career, she devoted herself to her family, embracing her role as a full-time mother and actively volunteering within her community.

Christine will be remembered as a strong woman, full of life, deeply committed to her family and friends, and intelligent in every aspect.

She found great joy in watching soccer, bowling, traveling, and lending her help to others in need through her volunteer work.

Christine is survived by her husband of 32 years, Zeki Bulent Bulbul, her two sons, Deniz and Taner, and her three sisters: Denise Donohue, Doreen Kezer, and Jodie Franklin.

The memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A., located at 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21029.

Interment will follow on the same day on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 1:45 pm at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville, MD 21032.
