Charlotte "Ginny" Pappas

Charlotte (Ginny) Anne Pappas, 81 of Hyattsville, MD passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021. Charlotte was born on May 20, 1939 in Philadelphia, PA to the late John and Charlotte (Klink) Bailey. Charlotte grew up in Norfolk, VA and later moved to Silver Spring, MD. Charlotte attended Sacred Heart Catholic High School and later graduated from Immaculata Junior College. Charlotte worked as a secretary for several private catholic schools here in the DMV over her career. She was also very involved with St. Mark’s Catholic Church and School in the 1970’s. In her prime, Charlotte could be found working in her yard attending to her “rock gardens” and enjoying the beautiful weather. She could be best remembered for never forgetting family and friend’s birthdays and holidays for which she would always send a card with a personal note.

In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her son, Thomas John and her brothers Thomas and Lawrence. She is survived by her three sons, Andrew Gus, Jr. (Connie), James (Jan) and William (Donna); brother John Bailey and sister Rita Downey; five grandchildren, Ashley Hatton, Steven Friedman, Thomas Pappas, Daniel and Matthew Pappas, as well as eight great‐grandchildren, Cheyenne, Lucas, Carmine, Christian, Penny, Daphne, Cooper and Piper.
