Charles "Gary" Gadziala

Charles Gary Gadziala passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his wife, Irene, daughter, Janet and his loyal feline Cabbie on November 20, 2024, at the age of 87. Gary was born on March 7, 1937, in Bronx, NY.

Beloved husband of over 51 years to Irene (nee Vogel) Gadziala. He was the loving son of the late A.C. Gadziala and Stella (nee Derech) Gadziala. He was the devoted father of Kathy (Bill) Bouverie and Janet (Jim) Fox. He was the adored grandfather (The Admiral) to Stella Bouverie. He was the beloved brother of Gail Fitzgerald and her late husband, Bob Fitzgerald. He was the uncle of Stephanie Hammer, Katie Fitzgerald (Tim Codispoti), Julie Fitzgerald (Steve Geringer), and Michael (Patty) Messenger, and their children, Jake, John, and Jack. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Virginia (Ginny, nee Vogel) and Steve Phillips and Anna Marie Kimble (nee Vogel).

Gary worked for over 55 years in the Investment Banking business which included over 50 years with UBS Financial Services.

Gary loved all things outdoors, his favorites included biking, anything to do with trains and most modes of transportation. His train interest started with his stroller rides being pushed by his grandmother to the train yards near his childhood home in Bronx, NY. He was a super volunteer for many years at the Maryland & Pennsylvania Railroad Historical Society in Muddy Creek Forks, PA. One of his prized possessions was his Motor car which he took on many trips with different organizations. His best trips were the few he took with his family (one being in Canada) and the best was one that he was able to take on the Maryland Light Rail before it was officially opened.

Friends and family are invited to honor Gary’s life by visiting the Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A., 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21029 on Sunday, November 24th, 2024, from 2:00pm-5:00pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held at the Shrine of St. Anthony on Monday, November 25th, 2024 at 9:00AM with interment to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
