Casper Whetzel Jr.

Casper Whetzel Jr, 86 of Beltsville, MD passed Monday, January 15th, 2024 at White Oak Medical Center in Silver Spring, MD with lung cancer complications. Casper was comforted by his daughter and son at his bedside. Casper Jr. was born March 30th, 1937 in Montgomery County, MD to the late Casper Whetzel Sr of Bergton, VA and Ethel V. Howes Whetzel of Montgomery Co., MD.

Casper Jr. retired as a masterful brick and stone mason. He apprenticed under the late Mr. Henson of Burtonsville, MD, then the Kuykendal Bros. and final years at John Hopkins APL in Columbia, MD with honors. Casper was a good friend to all and loved all as he expressed in his final words. He will be surely missed by all.

Casper Jr. was the middle child out of seven children, he had five brothers and one sister, all preceding him in death. Casper Jr. is survived by his wife of 67 years Madonna Lee Taylor Whetzel of Ellicott City, MD, son Steven M. Whetzel (Rebecca) of Louisa, VA ; daughter Sharon D. Whetzel Beckett (David) of Baltimore, MD, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nephews and nieces and many friends.

Relatives and Friends may visit Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A., on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 8:00pm. Where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow the funeral service at Columbia Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital in his memory .
