Carl O. Buhlman, Sr.

Carl Buhlman of Glenwood, MD passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025.  He was born in 1938 in Brooklyn, New York to Charles Oscar Buhlman and Hilda Regina Kizina. He graduated from the City College of New York and received a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1961. He also received a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland in 1972.

Most of his career he was employed by the defense industry as a chief systems and project engineer including Westinghouse, Northrop Grumman, SAIC, Titan, and NSA. He retired after twenty five years from Northrop Grumman in 2008. He was also employed as a design engineer for MBTA in Boston and BART in San Francisco.

He was a member of The Engineers Club of Baltimore, the Air Force Association and the Association of Old Crows. Among his hobbies were skiing, golfing, sailing and reading spy novels.

Carl is survived by his loving wife of forty-one years Ann, his sister, Anita Hagan, his three sons, David, Carl and Kevin and five grandchildren Nicholas, Caroline,Margaret, Elizabeth and Sarah.
