Anne C. (Hubbard) Strocko

On September 7, 2024 Anne Cecilia Strocko, 81 passed away from a result of cerebral vascular disease.

Anne was born on April 23, 1943 to James J. and Madeline Hubbard In Jamaica, New York.  She was the oldest of three children of Jim and Madeline.  They grew up in Queens Village, New York and attended Our Lady of Lourdes parish.

She earned a Bachelor’s degree from Albertus Magnus College, in New Haven Ct. and a Masters Degree in Education from Fordham University.

Anne taught elementary school in Queens, New York and Our Lady of Mercy School in Hicksville, New York.

Her hobbies included knitting and embroidering.  Anne donated blankets to Naughty Knitters in New York and embroidery to Our Lady of Mercy in Hicksville.   She was a great cook and an even better baker.  She loved listening to music, especially the works of André Rieu. [PV1]

Anne is survived by her husband of 55 years, Leonard Strocko.  They have two sons, Edward (his wife Niki) and Paul (his wife Tricia) and two granddaughters, Gabriella and Sophia.  She has a brother, James P. Hubbard, and a sister, Lynn Ouellette.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 25 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A., 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD.  The funeral mass will be held at St. Louis Church, 12500 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD at 11:00 am with interment at St Louis Cemetery
