Romain Oliver Terrence Picou, of Highland, MD, died October 2, 2019 as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident at the age of 28. He was born on November 1, 1990 in Washington DC, the son of Theodore Pary and Mireille Picou. Romain attended Lycée Rochambeau and graduated from Concordia University in Montreal with a Bachelor’s in Administration in 2012. He then graduated from Ferrandi in Paris, an internationally recognized school of culinary arts.
Romain was an incredible son, brother, uncle, and friend, who will be forever remembered for his humor, warmth, and adventurous spirit. An avid and skilled fencer, he competed twice in the Fencing World Cup. He was also a proficient pastry chef and businessman, helping to run a rapidly growing family business at PastryStar Amero Foods. Romain is fondly remembered for being an incredible friend to all.
Romain is survived by his parents Mireille Picou and Theodore Pary, and his brothers Antonin Picou and Phillipe Pary.
The first viewing will be held at Donaldson Funeral Home, 12540 Clarksville Pike, on Sunday October 6, from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm. A funeral Mass will be offered Monday 11:00 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Parish, Main Church, 12500 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD. Interment immediately following at St. Louis Cemetery, 5950 Ten Oaks Rd, Clarksville, MD. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held Monday, October 7, starting at 1pm, at Little St Cloud Farm, 12745 Lime Kiln Road, Highland, MD.
