Raymond Francis Cook, "Ray" to his friends and family passed away at his home surrounded by his family after a courageous ten year battle with cancer. He was married to Helen Cecelia (nee Gannon) for fifty years. Ray is also survived by his loving children, Ray, Jr. (Cathy) of Bokeelia, FL., Patty Cook of Springfield, IL., and Jana Hull (Robert) of Roanoke, VA. Ray was grandfather of nine and great grandfather of four.
Ray served his country in the United States Naval Reserve, was a high school vocational educator at the Bell Vocational High School in Washington, D.C. until retirement, when he pursued his own entrepreneurial spirit founding and growing his own plumbing, heating and electrical service business in central Howard County. Ray was an active member and past president of the Dayton Rod and Gun Club, as well as a member of the Elks and American Legion.
Friends may call at the Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A. 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksvillle, MD. 21029 on Friday, February 23, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Christian wake service will be held Friday 7:30 p.m.. There will be a reception at Ray and Helen's home on Saturday February 24, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. Interment private.
