Michael Allen Carnock, Sr. went missing while swimming on May 15, 2018 in Loudon, TN. After a tireless search effort, his body was recovered on June 1. Mike was born in Decatur. Illinois, on June 10, 1962 to Phil and Joyce Carnock. He grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and graduated from Hillsdale College in 1984 with a bachelor's degree in history. He went on to earn his MBA in business finance from the University of Maryland and worked as a real estate developer for over 25 years. Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Pam, and 5 devoted children, Michael Jr. and Janie, Solomon, Samson and Sydney. Mike was active at Grace Community Church for the past two decades. He served as a teacher in the KidsZone ministry and spoke frequently for the men's group. He also served as a board member for the Howard County Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Baltimore City Young Life and the CareNet Ministry for pregnant women. Mike was passionate about international missions and made visits to Uganda, Ghana and Jordan. An avid swimmer and runner, he also loved sports and coaching football and girls' basketball. Mike enjoyed life, his family and many friends. He brightened the lives of others in countless ways.
