Isabel Drain

On October 25, 2018,  Isabel Drain, the beloved wife of the late Martin F. Drain for 62 years, peacefully passed away at the age of 95 years. 

Isabel joined the Navy as a Wave during WWII, marched in FDR’s funeral and was a charter member of the Women in Military Service for America Memorial.  She has touched many lives in her caring way. Our family has been blessed by her greatness and we will all miss her. 
She is the loving mother of Mercedes, Peggy, Martin F. Jr.and the late Madelon. She is loved by grandchildren, Matt, David, Analisa, Amanda, Andrew, Austin, Alyssa and the late Michelle, James and Mercedes Leigh; she is also survived by one sister and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by 2 sisters and one brother; 

Family will receive friends at the Donaldson Funeral Home, 12540 Clarksville Pike, Rt 108, Clarksville, MD on Thursday, November 1 from 5 to 8 p.m. A  Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 2nd at St. Louis Parish, 12500 Clarksville Pk., Clarksville, MD at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, MD.  Memorial contributions may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 4550 Montgomery Ave., Suite 1100N, Bethesda, MD  20814. www.cff.org.
