On Friday, April 13, 2018 Henry F. "Bob" Frederick died peacefully surrounded by his close family. Henry Francis Frederick Jr. was born in Washington DC on June 24, 1935 to Mabel V. and Henry F. Frederick, Sr. Bob, (the name he went by), grew up in Washington, DC and graduated from Coolidge High School. In 1956, after working for G.C. Murphys for a period of time Bob decided to enlist in the Army. Just after his enlistment Bob met the love of his life, Charline M. Butler and they married before his deployment in 1957. As soon as he finished his time in the Army he rushed home to be with his new wife and began working as a butcher for Safeway foods, where he went on to manage for the next 10 years. In 1969 he began his own appliance distributing company which he named Apollo. Bob retired from his very successful family run business in 2007 and enjoyed his latter years with his family and friends at the beach and throwing lavish Christmas parties. He was also a avid Redskins and Nationals fan.
Along with his wife of 62 years, Bob is survived by his daughter Rachelle (and her husband Rick) Chvala, and his son Ricky (and his wife Donna) Frederick. He is predeceased by his oldest daughter Donna L. Kopp. Bob is also survived by son in law John Kopp, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
