G. William Cobert

 On June 25, 2019 G. William Cobert, beloved husband of Katharine J. (nee Jones) Cobert for 44 years died peacefully in Columbia, MD.  Loving father of Donna Sue Betts Cortright (Larry) of Colonial Heights, VA., Gregg W. Cobert, Sr. (Kathy) of Mechanicsville, VA. and Brian S. Cobert of North Chesterfield, VA.  He is survived by his adoring grandchildren, Jennifer Pignato, Stacey Ritchey (Jimmy), Gregg W. Cobert, Jr. (Melanie) and Danny Cobert (Katy) as well as five awesome greatgrandchildren, his sister-in-law, Helen C. Jones and his dear friend Danny Williams.

Bill was born in Hopwood, Pennsylvania to Katherine and Thomas Cobert, the fifth of eight children. After graduating from Eastern High School in Washington, D.C., Bill served in World War II  as well as the Korean War. Bill graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Towson State University in June 1979. His mission in life was to help and support the people and organizations that were close to his heart. He was a lifetime member of the Loyal Order of Moose.

Friends and relatives may call at the Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A., 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD. 21029 on Tuesday, July 9 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 10 at 11:00 a.m. Entombment immediately following at Columbia Memorial Park, 12005 Clarksville Pike.
