Savi Redman Obituary

Savi Ella Redman was born on May 5, 2015 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. She was the youngest daughter of Marcia Shannon Feaster and Kenneth Tyrone Redman and loving sister to Riley Sage Redman. Savi peacefully departed this earth surrounded by family on April 19, 2024 in Fulton, MD.

Savi was a force of nature – precocious, bright, curious, courageous and hilarious. She was a proud 3rd grader at St. John’s Episcopal School in Olney, MD where she made special friends who entertained and supported her.

Savi was often on the go and wanted to experience new adventures. She planned trips to New York, Florida and the Carolinas to spend fun time with extended family. She often played mini-chef to her grandmother “Burr” and she learned to cook her favorite foods, including Burr’s famous sweet potato pie.

Savi had a powerful singing voice and she enjoyed trying to keep up with her big sister’s choreographed dance moves. She also wanted to learn many sports. To the delight of her "Paw Paw" baseball became her favorite. Savi often told jokes and riddles, and she challenged all comers to board game battles. She also created virtual worlds for animals and recruited family and friends to join her.

Although Savi was only 8, three weeks shy of her 9th birthday, she had big dreams for her future. Her passion for animals and her desire to be a world-class veterinarian were well known. Recently, she developed a great fondness for horses and she learned everything that she could about them from her new friends at Encore Stables. One of Savi’s goals was to create Savi’s Animals All-in-One, a one-stop animal rescue, rehabilitation, grooming and boarding center where no animal would be turned away. She had the biggest heart of all.

Savi was the light of our lives and she inspired us to be better by leaning on her faith even during the most challenging times. She had a positive, kind and grateful spirit. To know her was to be touched by her. We will dearly miss her bright eyes, big smile and infectious laugh.

Savi’s spirit will dwell forever in those who loved her.

Savi is survived by her parents: Shannon Feaster (Fulton, MD) and Kenneth Redman (Severn, MD); sister: Riley Redman; maternal grandparents: Marshall “Burr” Feaster (New York, NY) and Kenneth “Paw Paw” Feaster (Eden, UT); paternal grandmother: Della Mae Redman (Franklin, WV); great-grandmother: Winifred Fonteneau (Carlisle, SC); aunts: Riqueza Feaster (New York, NY), Alexys Feaster (Tamarac, FL) and Rochelle Kirby (Moorefield, WV); uncles: Jagger Pfister (Brooklyn, NY), Orlando Redman (Ronda) and Joshua Redman (Franklin, WV); first cousins: Raya Lamin and Enza Feaster (New York, NY).
