Patricia Bielecki, 80, of Ellicott City, Maryland passed away unexpectedly on August 30th, 2021. Patricia was known for her warmth, kindness, generosity, and grace, and she will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and neighbors.
Patricia was born in 1941 in Bayonne, New Jersey to the late William and Martha Gesek. She grew up in Linden, New Jersey with her older brother, William J Gesek, who preceded her in death.
Shortly after graduation from Linden High School, she married the love of her life and ultimately moved to Maryland to raise a family. She lived in the community of Calverton and then for many decades in the community of Stonegate, where she made close and lifelong friends. After the youngest of her three children entered elementary school, Patricia began working for the federal government in The Department of Health and Human Services. While working full time and caring for her family, she also obtained an associate degree from Montgomery College. When her first grandchild was born, Patricia retired so that she could help care for the 8 grandchildren that soon followed. In retirement, she took painting lessons and learned to refinish furniture. She enjoyed painting florals and was also an excellent writer. She delighted her family with amusing poems for special occasions. Patricia also enjoyed traveling to Florida every winter, relaxing at her beach home in Ocean City, taking long walks with her husband, and above all spending time with family and friends.
Patricia will be deeply missed by her beloved husband of 60 years, Edward A. Bielecki, her daughter Linda Solomich and husband Daniel Solomich, her daughter Sharon Gleeson and husband Al Gleeson, her son Edward D. Bielecki and wife Theresa Bielecki, and her cherished grandchildren, Tyler Gleeson, Jamie Gleeson, Randal Gleeson, Benjamin Solomich, Andrew Bielecki, Sophie Solomich, Anna Solomich, and Julia Bielecki. Her passing is also mourned by her sister-in-law Barbara Gesek, brother-in-law Thomas Bielecki and wife MaryJo Bielecki, and her loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 27th, 2021 at 10 am in the vestibule of St. Louis Catholic Church, 12500 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21029. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11:00 a.m.
