Janice Connolly

Janice Elisabeth Connolly, age 101, passed away in Fulton, Maryland on April 9th, 2024. Born on February 11th, 1923 in Belpre, Ohio, to Arthur and Bessie (Cassady) Chamberlain. She lived in Fulton, Maryland. She was affectionately known within her family as Little Grandma. Janice proudly worked as a secretary during the 1940-1950s and was proficient in shorthand. She was a substitute teacher in the Howard County School system during the 1960-1970s. Janice also volunteered at Saint Louis Church.

Janice is survived by her sons John David and James Patrick; grandchildren Michael, Anthony, Kevin, Kathleen, Shannon, and Kelsey; great grandchildren Mariah, Sean, Sammi, Johnny, Matthew, Jameson, Colin, and Caitlin; and great great grandson Gavin.

Janice was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years John Thomas, her mother Bessie, and her father Arthur.

Janice was known for her unconditional love and dedication to her family and loved ones. She was proud of her grandchildren and enjoyed field trips and school activities with them. She also enjoyed reading a great deal and played the piano. She will be greatly missed.

Family and friends are welcome to visit Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A., 12540 Clarksville, Maryland 21029 on Monday, April 15th 2024 for the viewing from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 16th, 2024, at Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A. at 11:00 am. Interment to follow the Funeral Service.
