Faith Crabtree-Dillman

On September 24, 2020, Faith Crabtree-Dillman, the loving mother of three daughters, peacefully died in her sleep at the age of 65.

Faith was born on December 2, 1954 in Salem, Indiana to Shirley Edward Crabtree and Barbra Ellen Crabtree.

She grew up in Muncie, IN. and graduated from Muncie Central High School. She went on to graduate from Ball State University with a BA in Education. Although she was born in Indiana Faith lived most of her life up and down the East Coast including Georgia, Florida, Connecticut, New Jersey, before settling in Highland, Maryland for the past 25 years. 

Above all else, Faith was a devoted mother to her daughters – Courtney Elizabeth and her husband Caldwell Huckabay, Kelsey Lyn Dillman, and Meredith Jo Dillman. Faith was an only child but came from a large family with many aunts, uncles and cousins with whom she was very close.

Once the girls were born Faith stopped teaching in order to devote herself to the full-time job of raising three energetic kids. Missing her days as a teacher she found Girl Scouts as her alternative. She was very active with the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland as a leader for 3 different Troops over 15 years. Once the girls were grown and out of the house she returned to teaching, and most recently she was working for Gumdrop Books selling reading books to schools all over the Maryland area.

In addition to all that, Faith loved to travel the world! She travel extensively in the US and internationally. Her most recent trips were to Costa Rica, Thailand, and South Korea.

Please join us in celebrating her life at a memorial gathering for friends and family. Visitation hours will be held on Friday, October 2nd from 1:00-3:00 at Donaldson Funeral Home located at 12540 Clarksville Pike in Clarksville, MD. Followed by a memorial service at 3:00. Due to COVID restrictions attendance at the service may be somewhat limited.
