Ernest Robinson Obituary

Ernest Dwayne Robinson, age 51, of Clarksville, MD, passed away on Thursday May 14, 2020 at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore after a brief illness resulting from COVID-19.

Ernest leaves to mourn his wife of over 29 years, Benita (Franklin) Robinson, three children, Sydney, Antonio and Sarah Robinson; his parents Ernest J. and Virginia Robinson; his brother Michael Robinson and host of family and special friends, including M. Gil Moss and Desha Bedford.

He grew up in Woodlawn, MD and attended Baltimore County Schools. He received his BS in Accounting from Towson University and his MBA from Loyola College of MD. He was an active CPA and held multiple other accounting and financial certifications. He truly liked accounting, but always had a love for IT and computers.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father and son. His three kids were his world. You could always find him at his Sydney’s track meets or Antonio and Sarah’s basketball games. You could probably count on one hand how many he missed in 13 years. Many of you know he was a selfless and kind-hearted man who helped anyone he came in contact with. He never needed a thank you, or said you owe me and never wanted anything in return. He did it from the kindness of his heart and wanted to make sure everyone was happy.

His other passion was fishing, however, he didn’t get to go as much as he liked, but each year took family and friends charter boat fishing. Besides trying to get the ‘big catch of the day’ he enjoyed watching what everyone else caught and making sure we all had a great time. He also loved to talk politics and anyone whoever debated with him will never forget the conversations.

Ernest spent 20+ years with Janjer Enterprises, Inc. (Popeye’s & IHOP) and was a dedicated and devoted employee.

He was a loving, quiet, caring, gentle man and will be truly missed by all who knew him. Ernest we love you and will continue making you proud!

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions for safety, the services will be held privately. Plans for a future public celebration of his life when the restrictions are lifted will be posted when they become available.
