Florentine Joseph Boarman, affectionately known as “Larry” died on July 4, 2018 in Olney, Maryland. Larry was born on October 2, 1921 in Brentwood, MD. the middle child of Elizabeth M. and George L. Boarman, younger brother of James Boarman and older brother of Louise Adams. Larry attended St. James Catholic Grade School and Roosevelt High School in Washington, D.C., where he met and later married his high school sweet heart, Rosette Antoinette LiCausi. They were wed on his birthday, October 2, 1946. He and Rosette celebrated seventy-two years of marriage.
Larry and his wife, Rosette, founded Boarman’s Meat Market in Highland, Md. in 1955, while simultaneously operating his farm in Fulton. The Store has remained family owned and operated since its inception. Larry made the store a success through his hard work, gentle hand and warm personality.
Larry and Rosette were parishioners of St. Louis Catholic Church, Clarksville, and remained devout in their faith throughout their lives. Larry is survived by his wife Rosette; his three children, Elizabeth A. Brian, Marlene B. Feaga, and George L. Boarman; ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may call at Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A.,12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville MD on Sunday, July 8, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm and again on Monday July 9, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8;00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Louis Catholic Church, 12500 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD on Tuesday July 10 at 11:00am. Interment to follow at St. Louis Church Cemetery
