Erminia Tibbs Obituary

Erminia Virginia Tibbs (nee Avon) died on May 14, 2019 at the Asbury Methodist Village in Gaithersburg, Maryland after a valiant struggle against Parkinson’s Disease. Erminia was born on September 8, 1941 in Washington, D.C. to the late Maddalena Fidelma Zorzini and Giovanni Avon. She married Albert Leonard Tibbs and raised her three children in the parish of St. Louis Catholic Church, Clarksville, Maryland. Albert predeceased her in 2003. Erminia spent her retirement years in the loving care of her daughter, Susie and her husband Todd and children residing in Frederick County, Maryland. She is survived by her children; Susie Mary Chalk (Todd), Robert Leonard Tibbs (Kathleen) and John Christopher Tibbs as well as eight grandchildren and her siblings, Linda Avon and Teresa Greene. A Funeral Mass will be offered 10:30 a.m. on Thursday May 23, 2019 in the Chapel of St. Louis Catholic Parish, 12500 Clarksville Pike (Rte.108) Clarksville, Maryland 21029. Interment will immediately follow St. Louis Cemetery, 5950 Ten Oaks Road, Clarksville, Maryland 21029.
